Mengxi Xiao(Anna) is a UI/UX designer whose practice has deep roots in literature and statistics. She is always trying to find the most pragmatic and empathic solution to every problem. She believes design is to find a critical point between chaos and order, and it is a powerful tool to communicate across different cultures and languages. She was originally a student studying English Literature, and then moved on to become a statistical analyst in the educational field, and has recently switched to focus on UI/UX design to influence people and their life in wider areas.
Mengxi has an innate curiosity about the human condition, which led her to learn and discover as much about the humanities as possible. Her primary interests are in cognitive functions, evolutionary psychology, and literature.
Mengxi was born and raised in Beijing, China. She graduated from the M.Ed. in educational statistics program at the University of Pennsylvania. She is now pursuing her second master's degree at the Academy of Arts University where she is dedicated to studying UI/UX design. Before she came to the US, she studied for 4 years in Nanjing, where she focused her coursework on English Literature.
